We welcome visiting pilots to our flying sites. To ensure everybody is having safe and enjoyable flights, please read and observe the following:
HPAC/ACVL is the Canadian national association for hang- and paragliding and provides third party liability insurance required by most public and private landowners in our area. Visiting pilots are required to obtain a temporary HPAC membership ($40 for 2 months) before flying. Please visit the visitors page on the HPAC/ACVL website for information on how to do this.
To secure our most frequented local flying sites the Westcoast Soaring Club (WCSC) acquired tenure of Lower Bridal Falls, Mackenzie in Pemberton, and Mt Woodside launches and has made arrangements with landowners of LZs. To fly our club sites, WCSC membership and landing pass for Riverside at Mt Woodside is required (one month visitor membership $10, out-of-town membership $25, Riverside landing pass $15). Please visit the membership page of the WCSC.
Last but not least, please check with local pilots or schools for a site orientation (and see our flying site guide and safety information). To get in contact post on the chatbox or WCSC forum (sign up required for forum), call or email one of the WCSC directors or one of the local schools found under Local Paragliding Schools at the bottom of this page.
Thanks for your consideration
Wishing you many enjoyable flights
Your WCSC Directors
