Congratulations to Alex Raymont for flying a new Canadian XContest Triangle Record (213 km 22/07/2018) .

Alex launched late morning/noon from Rainbow heading South to the South West of Brandwine Mountain then took a pretty direct line North to the North West side of Mount Athelstan. From there he headed East along the Pemberton valley route to Slalok Mountain where he returned to Whistler getting climbs late in the evening on the East side of Curry and a final glide from Mount Cook.

The record was last set by Frederic Bourgault in 2013 from the Pemberton upper launch when he flew a 197.6 km triangle heading West to Pier Mountain and then returned from Gold Bridge/Bralorne to Mount Curry.
