Re: Weather stations

100% will get destroyed by vandals if visible from launch. I suggest at the top of a tall tree off to the NW by a couple hundred meters. Will need rope access to install it.

Does it just do wind and temp? Probably no chance of a webcam?

Re: Recording of Alex Raymont's "Secrets of Cross Country Flying"

Of course Rob! Laps at Bridal will always be a Sammy to me.
Hope to see you on the hill. We need someone to keep Martin N from getting all the airtime in the fraser valley.

Re: HPAC Finances $176,000...

Well Martin for real interest maybe you have to post on FB or Line? The WCSC forum just doesn't seem to be very popular anymore. I'd have to agree that HPAC does seem to have very high fixed costs for an organization of barely over a 1000 people. And with no disrespect meant to Margit I had no idea ...

Re: New comp posted for Valle de Bravo.

Interesting to see an XC comp in Valle. With small glider class multipliers to help even the playing field a bit. I wonder if they will consider limiting the length of the day to make it a bit less of a flying marathon? Glad to see Marko bringing something new to Valle. And there is something about ...

Re: XC questions

Hi Tom, Benny to Woodside or even Bridal is easier than the other direction, the usual west wind helps. Bridal is a bit of a later launch so to push way west starting at 2pm would be tricky. But have you done a full lap at Bridal yet? That is the classic run for new XC pilots in the valley and very ...

Re: HPAC Announcements

HPAC does a good job Serge. Travel a bit and you'll find higher fees and more onerous regulation in many other countries.

Get a grip and stop attacking.

Re: What helmet should I buy

And xsaltitude pg pilots rarely use 123.4 aircraft AM for general work. We have gone down the Ham route and use 146.415 FM. Some folks are buying aircraft AM for communicating with heli's, planes, and towers if they fly somewhere they need to do that. And before you ask there isn't a radio that tran...

Re: Loan me a hook knife for two weeks?

Jim I think the kiteboard shop in Kits might have some for you. http://airtimeboardsports.com/ZenCartNew/ Or if you want a very good hook go to 12th and Cambie and pick up this one: http://www.warriorsandwonders.com/Benchmade/Benchmade_7_Hook_BLKWSN_Coyote_Soft_Sheath Or call Jim R he might be in to...
