No landing is permitted on the fields during scheduled
events.

be checked before take off to ensure there is no

There will be a $20.00 charge for emergency
landings during scheduled events.
An alternative landing site must be in place and
marked, for emergency landings and schedule changes.

Parking / Vehicles
No overnight parking or camping on the Pemberton
Community Centre or School Board property.
No speeding through the parking lot or around
the community center.
Parking is limited, and available for community
centre patrons. The community center has the right
to have the Para gliders move their vehicles during
an event. If vehicles are being left all day in the
parking lot during a busy day at the community center
they must be parked on the highway in front of the
community center.
No parking in emergency vehicle access lanes.
No vehicles are permitted on the field, with
the exception of emergency vehicles.
No blocking school board buses or buildings
with vehicles. The School Board has the right to tow
any vehicle that hinders its daily operations.
Signage
/ Postings
Weekly and monthly field schedule to be posted
at the take off site, website, and other postings
where the PCC is designated as a landing site.
Wind Socks can be placed on the property
if necessary, and are the responsibility of the user
group.
There is a community event board available
to the user group for posting news and event schedules
to its members and the public. See office for more
details.
Facility
Usage
Indoor washroom facilities are available
during regular building hours.
An outdoor toilet will be available at the
back field from April to September, during facility
closures.
If outdoor taps are used, they are to be
shut off completely and not left leaking.
All garbage must be put in garbage bins.
Persons bringing their pets are responsible
for cleaning up any refuse left by their pet.
No open alcohol on the Pemberton Community
Centre property without a liquor license.
All landings are permitted, except during
scheduled events, and the community center has the
right to cancel or alter landings should conditions
arise which necessitate schedule changes.
Costs
There will be a $20.00 charge for emergency
landing during a scheduled event.
Additional charges for clean up when necessary
will be $20.00 hour.
There will be additional charges for scheduled
tournaments or special events.
Insurance
/ Liablity
All paragliders taking off from the site
at MacKenzie Basin and landing at the Pemberton Community
Centre must be insured under the Hang Gliding and
Paragliding Association of Canada (HPAC). Community
Centre staff have the right to ask for proof of insurance
upon request to any paraglider landing at the Pemberton
Community Centre. If they are not covered for insurance,
they will be prohibited from landing at the community
center until further notice or proof of insurance
is provided.
Materials and equipment brought onto the
premises are the responsibility of the user group.
The community center is not responsible for lost,
stolen or damaged property of the user group during
use of the facility.
The user shall reimburse the Pemberton Community
Centre for costs of repair or replacement of any part
of the Recreation Facilities and its equipment, which
are damaged as a result of the users occupancy.
Communications
Where the Pemberton Community Centre is posted
as a landing spot, all addresses and websites are
to be provided to the community center to have as
reference.

It is the responsibility of paraglider pilots
to check for field bookings, prior to take off to
ensure that there is no conflict with other user groups.

Failure to comply with the above listed regulations
may result in a fine and/or suspension or termination
of landing privileges
