Re: WCSC ISS amalgamation
Impressive response. Hopefully we will have enough island members join WCSC to swing the vote. I do see the power in numbers. Especially as it applies to the public/ corporate relations. Perhaps the west needs to secure our own liability insurance and break away from the financial overhead of HPAC? ...

Re: WCSC ISS amalgamation
There is a rather large pilot community on the island. The real problem is that they are fractured from a nasty political history. Many of the pilots want absolutely nothing to do with the club. I do have some questions.... Is there no Prevost tenure? Does the WCSC really want to take on the islands...

Re: Road to Woodside Launch....
Road to launch is an issue but the looming issue that inevitably will develop is the loss of both Riverside and the HG field one day. I spoke with Kim Duncan some time ago and she said that Riverside may be for sale in the near future. With the loss of FlyBC we must address the inevitable parking is...

Re: Road to Woodside Launch....
The main benefit is that it will reduce the amount of fires on launch. How many people are willing to pack pallets or blocks of wood in. I believe that we would also have significantly less vandalism.

Re: Road to Woodside Launch....
I fully support this idea. I think the road will need to be fully decommissioned and gated. I hope this will be a topic at the next meeting. I'm still waiting for any sort of response from the Fraser Valley Mountain Biking Assoc. The regional district of Kent has put aside a bunch of money for mount...

Re: $100,000 Woodside Road repairs required....
The logging company plowed the road and did not maintain it resulting in the loss of dirt leaving only rock. There should be some pressure for them to fix it. Also wondering how much money did we send to the VIS for Port Alberni site? Do people know that it's only open on Weekends?

Re: Mother Woodside...
I've contacted the Fraser valley mountain bike association who is in charge of developing the trail network on Woodside. Generally just gathering information of thier plans and relay the information back. Perhaps there's the potential for a parking lot in the cutblock to the North of launch. It woul...

Woodside improvements
I think it would be a good time to start the discussion about making improvements to the most used site in BC. Getting an excavator in to fix the road into the parking perhaps increase parking space and widening the launch for 2 gliders to set up would be a dream.

Re: BCHPA Funding
I'm no longer in the Kootenays but I'm stoked for Jay's project and enthusiasm. His project is exactly what I feel Bchpa was created for. I'd also like to say thank you for your service as president.

BCHPA Funding
As per a recent discussion that I have had about the use of our BCHPA fund. I am of the opinion that the BCHPA fund was established to improve access to sites to grow our sport. I feel that new site development should be the number 1 priority for BCHPA based on a few stipulations. -How much will the...

Re: Why the Amateur Radio People Hate Us....
FRS is too busy for school use and cell phones are not a viable option. Any other suggestions? The HAM guys are the ones getting off on policing channels. There's a number of channels that they get get thier kink on with but they insist on being dicks to people using radio's in a useful function. Th...
