Re: Big News!!!

We secured a $10k per month advertising grant (Grants through TechSoup) [/b] Sounds wonderful... in a virtual reality sort of way, but what the heck is it? Comrade Martin If you Google "Google Grants" it will explain it and should answer any additional follow up questions you have. If it ...

https://i.ibb.co/hYh7jCF/WCSC-logo-oct-17-2019-1-Converted.jpg It's been a fantastic four years! Over the past year, I have been succession planning with James Elliot in the hopes that I could retire and he would be willing to take on the effort of leading this club into the future. Thankfully Jame...

Re: Mid air / Pilot Liability / Fairness

I honestly have no idea who was involved in the collision, so I'm pretty impartial. I've never heard of anybody trying to get compensated for damage from a mid-air. I'd figure that Pilot#1 who lost his wing should be feeling pretty ashamed that with all his experience that he didn't avoid it. After...

Re: Should I Stay or should I Leave?....

I think the most telling feature of this years HPAC's budget that demonstrates how your association the HPAC has budgeted $54,270 for administrative costs and has allocated $2500 for safety. As a serial entrepreneur, having grown and sold multiple businesses in my short life. The one thing that is ...

Re: Should I Stay or should I Leave?....

Wow okay, there is a lot to digest here. I don't see anything criminal going on. What specifically is criminal? Would I operate HPAC differently? Yes. The old guard is resistant to change, and it holds us back from running efficiently. The Google fear mongering is enough to make me freak out. I also...

Re: WCSC Unofficial Pilot Mentorship Program

James, What a fantastic initiative. We are lucky to have you on our board. I would not be the pilot and community servant I am today if it wasn't for the many people that have mentored me. I would happily join the program as a mentor and it's too bad I don't qualify also as a mentee. I try never to ...

Re: Should I Stay or should I Leave?....

Tyler, what a newbie.... one of the sheep grazing in the high alpine meadows blissfully believing there is a future ;-) Si senior. Newb here, no doubt. Somewhere between my blissful future and your dystopian one, there will be a balance. The best way to predict the future is to create it. So far th...

Re: Should I Stay or should I Leave?....

Kind of amused Martin, You say that how people spend their money is up to them yet you post this thread about what? Trying to get us to change our minds about HPAC?, are you telling us how to spend our money? Martin wants us to spend more money to get less in return. So far the only solution I have...

Western Canadian Hang Gliding (and Paragliding) Site Guide

Hi there,

I was given Barry Batemans (HPAC Member #1) Site Guide. I have digitized it and made it public here. I hope it will end up living on our new WCSC website under the section where we recognize the history of our sport locally.

Please enjoy.
