Scenario
1: A pilot launches from Mount 7
lookout and flies south to Harrogate (the black
line below). The pilot lands at the Harrogate
LZ. This would be scored as an open-distance
(OD) flight.
Scenario 2:
If, instead of landing at Harrogate, the
pilot decides to turn around and fly back to the
Nicholson LZ (the red and orange lines below),
the flight would be scored as an out-and-return
(OR) flight. |
